Harine, a 2011 Google Science Fair finalist from Southern India, tells us about what inspired her to look into ways of improving power supplies to remote villages in the developing world. Harine and countless other entries from last year's   competition inspired Google and Scientific America to create the brand new "Scientific America Science in Action" prize for the top science project that shows positive, local community impact. Win a $50,000 cash prize plus one year of mentorship to help realize the project. If you win this prize, what would you do? Visit Google Science Fair for information.
